Over the next 5 weeks West Brisbane Falcons will be offering the chance for everyone to attend our Introduction to Coaching sessions.
The sessions are being lead by Fiona Hannan, former Australian Opals player, and will be a valuable source of information and help for:
- any coach at our club no matter how long you have coached for
- any person who wishes to understand more about what the children are learning at the training sessions
We would like to see as many interested people at these sessions and hopefully from this you may feel more confident in helping the club by coaching a team.
A one and a half hour ‘Key Elements of Coaching’ session (offered on two separate dates) and three on court, one hour ‘Drills and Skills’ sessions are on offer.
Interested coaches and parents are required to do at least the ‘Key Elements of Coaching’ session (on either date) and then as many of the ‘Drills and Skills’ sessions as you can be available for.
Sessions will be fast paced and fun with plenty of time for your questions and requests to help guide the content provided.
Resource materials that will guide you to a full season of fun, informative, development focussed basketball training sessions will be provided.
