Basketball is back!!! We are all excited to be returning to the court and have been working with Brisbane Basketball to understand the new requirements to meet the Basketball Queensland COVID safety industry plan.
It is important we all adhere to the return to play requirements to ensure the safety of our members.
Here is what you need to know?
Entry and exit requirements for all venues
- Arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your game the doors will be locked prior to this time and during games.
- Everyone is required to sanitise their hands on arrival
- All basketballs are to be sanitised on entry and only one ball per team

All non-players (spectators, coaches and team managers) are required to register at the venue by scanning a QR code. On most phones your camera will detect the information to link to the BQ app Own Ur Goal otherwise you will require a QR code reader on your smart phone.Do not enter the playing area until the other team/s have departedDo not enter the playing area until the other team/s have departed
- When you scan the code you will need to enter your information. The good news is when you scan it the next time it will remember your details. ** Please ensure you are selecting the correct venue eg Centenary, Kedron etc
- If you don’t register your attendance you will not be allowed entry to the venue
- Do not enter the playing area until the other team/s have departed
- Leave immediately on completion of the games to allow cleaning of the court before the next game.
Entry and Exit points there are different entry and exit points at the different venues.Please ensure you are following the directions of the Bio Security officers and the venue signage to exit the venues.
Game information
Spectators

Each team is allowed 9 spectators to comply with the venue social distancing requirements. The numbers will be managed by the Bio Security officer
- To ensure all families have the opportunity to see their player participate in the game we ask that there is only 1 family spectator per player.
- Team Managers and Coaches are to sit at the team bench and are not included in the spectator numbers
Court Cleaning
- The courts will be cleaned after each game
- Hand sanitiser and wipes will be available on each scorebench if required during and after the game
Game Fees
- All game fees are to be paid by card. There will be No Cash handling on site. Your Team Mangers will advise how they are collecting the game fees.
Players
Water Bottles
- Bring your own water bottle/s – The bubblers are not available to refill however the canteen will be open if you need to purchase water.
Uniforms
Players are to come to the game dressed in their uniform and will be issued with a Falcons game single at the first game. Players/Parents will be required to sign our singlet agreement upon receipt of the singlet.
- Players will be responsible for the washing of their player singlet each week
- If a player forgets their singlet, they will not be able to play or remain at the venue.
If a player loses their singlet or fails to return it at the final game of the season they will be charged a $50.00 uniform replacement fee.
Basketballs
- There is to be only 1 basketball per team which will be sanitised with a wipe. Your Team Manager will advise which player is to bring the game ball.
Towel
- It is recommended all players bring a towel
