Over the past 2 months the West Brisbane Falcons Female Basketball Program has showed it is the place to be for International Women’s Basketball for those players looking to further their basketball experience.
The West Brisbane Falcons Female Teams have played 2 teams from British Columbia, Canada and also the New Zealand U17 Emerging Tall Ferns Women’s Team which competed at the recent FIBA Oceania U17 Championships against Australia.
In all three games the Falcons girls proved to be a tough team to handle winning one game, drawing one and only losing by 3 against the New Zealand U17 Women’s Team.
These results show that the hard work being put in by the coaches and young ladies at West Brisbane is paying off and our female basketballers are not only capable of competing on the international stage but excelling at the highest level.
In the recent Brisbane Junior Capitals representative female team selections, West Brisbane Falcons players had multiple players selected in every Age Group in both the Gold & Silver teams.
As well, the West Brisbane GBL U23 Women’s team won their 3rd title in 3 years showing that not only are the juniors performing at a high level but this extends through to our Women’s program.
If you are a female basketballer who wants to extend their basketball experience and skills then surely West Brisbane Falcons Basketball Club is the place to be.
